Dr. Ulla Maria Willert Bortignon
I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1977. I studied in Milan, Italy where I graduated in Law on 2003 at the University of Studies. I became Attorney at Law (Avvocato) in 2007 and I registered with the Milan Bar Association. In the same year I obtained my PhD in Philosophy and General Theory of Law and then collaborated with the Universities of Milan and Bergamo as a tutor and expert on the subject. I have been collaborating with the Law firm Baldini since 2007. I have provided assistance in the sectors of Real Estate, Succession, Separation and Divorce of foreign citizens, particularly Scandinavians, throughout the national territory. I also offered my consultancy for the establishment of secondary home places of foreign companies on the national territory in collaboration with notary firms, accountants and labour consultants, facilitating the hiring of local employees according to Italian Labour Law.
In 2016 I expanded my activity towards Luxembourg and Germany (Trier, Rheinland Pfalz). In recent years I have focused on legal aspects concerning shared properties, specially on the Italian Real Estate market. I assist foreign clients in Real Estate sale, and advice concerning Property Tax (IMU) and Municipal Taxes (TARI) and I have connections with Italian revisors.
Since 2008 I have been working as a legal expert for Denmark and Italy for the European Commission’s Your Europe Advice, an advice service for the public, currently provided by the legal experts from the European Citizen Action Service (ECAS) operating under contract with the European Commission. It consists of a team of 65 independent lawyers who cover all EU official languages and are familiar both with EU law and national laws in all EU countries.
I am bilingual Danish – Italian and fluent in English, French and German.
